Privacy Policy — AstroRaai

1. Introduction

AstroRaai ("we", "us", "the Platform") provides online astrology consultation services. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how we use and protect it, and your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the DPDP Rules, 2025. By using AstroRaai, you consent to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

• Account details: your name and phone number.
• Astrology details: your date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth, used to generate horoscopes and provide consultations.
• Payment information: processed securely through our payment partner (Cashfree). We do not store your full card or bank details.
• Consultation content: personal information you voluntarily share during consultations, including but not limited to family details, marital status, occupation, education, health, finances, and photos.
• Technical information: basic device and app data (such as app version and device type) collected automatically to operate and improve the service.

3. Sensitive Personal Data

Some information shared during consultations (for example, relating to health or finances) may be sensitive in nature. You choose what to share. We handle such information with additional care and use it only to provide the consultation you requested.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: create and manage your account; generate horoscopes and enable consultations; process payments; provide customer support; ensure safety and prevent misuse (including chat moderation); comply with legal obligations; and improve the Platform. We do not sell your personal data.

5. Sharing of Information

We share information only with: astrologers on the Platform (limited to what is needed for your consultation); service providers who help us operate (such as payment, messaging, and cloud hosting partners), under confidentiality obligations; and authorities where required by law. We do not share your data for third-party advertising.

6. Data Storage, Retention and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers with access controls and encryption where appropriate. We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide our services and to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. In accordance with the DPDP Rules, 2025, we retain personal data, associated traffic data, and processing logs for at least one year. After the applicable retention period, data is deleted or anonymised.

7. Your Rights

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• know the categories of personal data we have collected and the parties with whom it has been shared;
• request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
• request deletion of your data;
• withdraw consent at any time;
• nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity.

8. How to Exercise Your Rights

To make a request, email our Grievance Officer at dppo@astroraai.com with your registered name and phone number so we can verify your identity. We will respond to verified requests within a reasonable period and no later than 90 days, as prescribed under the DPDP Rules, 2025. Deletion may be refused where retention is required for a specified purpose or by law (for example, tax and payment records).

We aim to acknowledge grievances within 48 hours and resolve them within a reasonable period, no later than 90 days as prescribed under the DPDP Rules, 2025.

10. Children

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from persons under 18 without verifiable parental consent.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the app or by email.
